Making adverb

In English: in a ... manner, -ly

Expresses the purpose, method or though about the action that follows. It turns descriptive verb into adverb.

• 오늘 학교 늦게 갔어요.

  오늘 학꾜 늗께 가써요.said like thisoneul hakgyo neutge gasseoyo.

  I went to school late today.

• 머리를 짧게 잘랐어요.

  머리를 짤게 잘라써요.said like thismeorireul jjalge jallasseoyo.

  I cut my hair short.

• 입 크게 벌리고, 아 하세요.

  ip keuge beolligo, a haseyo.

  Open your mouth wide and say "ah."

Expect a result, criterion or standard in the following action and is necessary for the first clause to be realized.

• 저녁 같이 먹게 빨리 오세요.

  저녁 가치 먹께 빨리 오세요.said like thisjeonyeok gachi meokge ppalli oseyo.

  Come quickly so that we can eat dinner together.

• 사람들이 모두 보게 안내문 벽에 붙였다.

  사람드리 모두 보게 안내문 벼게 부텯따.said like thissaramdeuri modu boge annaemun byeoge butyeotda.

  They put up a notice on the wall so that everyone could see it.

하게체 Command

Used to give commands or requests to a junior or someone with whom one is on familiar terms, in the 하게체 speech level.

• 자네 이것 좀 보게.

  자네 이걷 좀 보게.said like thisjane igeot jom boge.
